Details
Calibrachoa hybrida 'Superbells Double Orange' has large double blossoms of a beautiful orange color and is well-branched and free-flowering with a uniform, mounded, trailing habit. Blooms profusely all season long. Heat tolerant. Self-cleaning, no deadheading necessary. Great for hanging baskets and planters. Keeping plants too wet can lead to root rot diseases. Allow the top of the soil to dry before watering again.
Growing Tips
Calibrachoas are ph sensitive and need a well-draining soil. Typical garden soils are not acidic enough to keep Calibrachoas from having stunted, yellow growth. They perform best in a good quality potting soil such as our own Kaw Valley "Good Stuff". If you have problems with budworms (blooms and buds getting chewed away) we recommend Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew (Spinosad). It's safe enough to be used for organic growing. If used every two weeks starting mid-June it should take care of these bloom-destroying pests that have invaded much of the Midwest, especially urban areas.
