Euonymus alatus 'Compacta' is very popular for it's reliable brilliant red foliage in the fall. Low maintenance. To maximize the fall foliage color, plant in full sun. Burming Bush is tolerant of most soils except extremely wet conditions. Fertilize in early spring with a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Pruning can be done at anytime, but is best done in late fall.
