Hydrangea macrophylla 'Light O Day' is a variegated lace cap mutation of the 'Endless Summer' series. This lace cap Hardy Hydrangea displays pink or blue (depending on soil pH: acid for blue blooms, alkaline for pink) inner blooms surrounded by white flowers. For maximum bloom production plant in partial shade or an area that receives sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Requires consistently moist soil (not wet); do not let dry out between waterings. Excellent choice for the woodland or north-facing garden. Mulching is recommended especially when the plant is young.
