Clematis 'Liberation' is an extremely vigorous cultivar with huge deep pink 9 inch flowers. The slightly overlapping petals are accented nicely with a deeper colored cerise-pink central bars and scalloped edges. Reblooms in late summer with smaller flowers. Prune Group 2 - Prune lightly above the new leaf buds in early spring and remove any dead or weak stems. Early flowers appear on the previous season's growth while late summer flowers appear on new growth. Give them good soil, reasonable moisture, and shade at their roots (mulch will help).
