Berberis thunbergii 'Sunjoy Gold Pillar' displays red new growth and vibrant golden foliage that turns bright orange-red in the fall. Burn resistant. Deadheading not necessary. Barberry is stunning in shrub borders, groupings, masses, perennial borders and containers. Prefers well-drained soil. Does not require any pruning. Medium moisture. Deciduous. Fertilize in early spring with a slow release fertilizer for trees and shrubs.
