Calibrachoa hybrid 'MiniFamous Double Lemon'

Common Name: Calibrachoa

Calibrachoa hybrid 'MiniFamous Double Lemon' has unique double blossoms and is well-branched and free-flowering with a uniform, mounded, trailing habit. Heat tolerant. Will revert to single blooms in the heat of the summer, but still very attractive. Great for hanging baskets and planters. Be careful not to over-water. Allow the top of the soil to dry before watering again. If your plant is wilting even though the soil is still damp you likely have a root rot problem.

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Calibrachoas are ph sensitive and need a well-draining soil. Typical garden soils are not acidic enough to keep Calibrachoas from having stunted, yellow growth. They perform best in a good quality potting soil such as our own Kaw Valley "Good Stuff". For beds with typical garden soils we recommend the similar looking "Littletunia" series of Petunias, which are not so ph sensitive.

Interesting Notes

If you have problems with budworms (blooms and buds getting chewed away) we recommend Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew. It's safe enough to be used for organic growing, and if used once a week starting mid-June it should take care of these dastardly pests that have invaded most of the Midwest. We carry this fantastic product at our Kaw Valley Garden Centers in ready-to-use spray bottles.
