Fragaria x ananassa 'Eversweet'

Common Name: Everbearing Strawberry

Fragaria 'Eversweet' is an Everbearing variety that will actually produce in our hot summers! Excellent strawberries for fresh eating. Lower yields than Junebearing varieties.

A better performing Everbearing variety for our hot climate.
Produces berries in spring and summer.
Perfect for eating fresh, adding to desserts, salads and sangria!

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Mulch with a layer of straw for winter protection. Every 2 years, replace plants with the 'plantlets' from the runners to maintain higher production and larger size berries.

Interesting Notes

Use Junebearing varieties for heavy spring yields. Everbearing varieties have smaller yields, but will continue producing sporadically throughout the summer. 'Eversweet' is the only Everbearing variety we can recommend because of our summer heat.
